LeakLedger

For grocery & cold storage contractors

Your grocers' Part 84 records, built from the service data you already have

Supermarket racks and cold-storage systems are almost always over 15 lb of HFC refrigerant, and commercial refrigeration has the 20% leak rate threshold. LeakLedger keeps every store's leak rates, deadlines and chronic-leak flags in one place — and gives each customer a report with your name on it.

What your grocery customers are on the hook for

  • Leak rate calculated at every refrigerant addition (§84.106(b))
  • Repair within 30 days when a rack exceeds 20% (§84.106(c)(2)(i), (d))
  • Initial and follow-up verification tests (§84.106(e))
  • Quarterly inspections for 500 lb+ racks after an exceedance (§84.106(g))
  • Chronic-leak report by March 1 when a rack loses 125% of its charge in a year (§84.106(j))
  • Automatic leak detection on 1,500 lb+ systems (§84.108)
  • Records for 3 years (§84.106(l))

The owner or operator carries these duties. As the servicing contractor you must give them a service record for each visit (§84.106(l)(4)) — which is where most of their data comes from.

Where contractors lose time today

"Send us your refrigerant records"

A chain or an independent asks for a year of history. The office rebuilds it from invoices and work orders, store by store.

Racks with many names

"Rack A", "LT rack", "RACK-A LT" — the same system logged three ways by three techs. LeakLedger merges them by serial and equipment ID and remembers the aliases.

Rolling 12-month math

The rolling-average method looks back 365 days, or to the last passed follow-up test. That's where spreadsheet formulas quietly go wrong.

One view across every store you service

Deadlines grouped by urgency across all customers, filterable by store. Overdue items at the top, the next 14 days below. A weekly email so nothing depends on someone remembering to log in.

Each customer gets its own leak-rate method (the rule requires one method for all covered appliances at a facility, §84.102), its own sites and its own report.
